TWO NEW TENANTS SECURED FOR MARRTREE BUSINESS PARK IN DONCASTER
Barton Blinds – a leading UK supplier of blinds, awnings and canopies – is the latest company to move in to the 3.6-acre site after taking a 3,593sqft unit and they’ll be joined by Venian, a distribution and logistics company.
Ian Brooks, who negotiated the Barton Blinds deal on behalf of PPH Commercial Doncaster, said: “It’s always extremely pleasing to help companies fuel their growth ambitions, and these deals once again prove that Doncaster is a great place for businesses to locate and invest.
“Both companies have agreed deals for a significant number of years, which proves their commitment to the Quest Park development and shows they see Doncaster as a thriving economic area. I wish them every success for the future.”
Located just one mile from Doncaster town centre and close to the A1M and M18, Marrtree Business Park has units ranging in size from 1,500sqft to 10,000sqft which boast both trade counter and storage facilities.
Since opening in 2017, the project has helped to transform this area of north Doncaster into an industrial hub which is home to national names such as Audi, Toyota, Peugeot, Nissan, Euro Car Parts, Dulux and Yesss Electrical.
Developed by Marrtree Investments Ltd, a privately-owned commercial property investment company, the site has created a significant number of new jobs – providing a major boost to the town and nearby area.
A handful of leasehold units remain on the market and the freehold of the 10,000sqft unit five is also available. The units are currently being marketed by PPH Commercial Doncaster and Sheffield-based Commercial Property Partners, the joint agents who negotiated Venian’s 2,585sqft deal at the development. These vacant units have been attracting a lot of interest and are expected to be let in the first six months of 2019.
Mr Brooks added: “The success of this speculative development is not a surprise because it’s a great location with excellent facilities. It’s a superb example of how much can be achieved when a local authority actively supports private investment.
“We’re still receiving significant interest in the remaining units and I would expect further positive announcements to be made in the near future.”
