PPH COMMERCIAL THRILLED TO HELP TWO LOCAL BUSINESSES FULFIL EXPANSION PLANS
A well-known chemical manufacturer have leased a 4,800sqft unit at the former Humbrol factory site as part of a larger investment in the city.
Wisper Broadband have also agreed a five-year deal on a 3,200sqft office space at the Hedon Road scheme, which will see them relocate from their current home on Holderness Road.
Wisper’s significant investment is a key part of their ambitious expansion plans, which will see them provide an alternative superfast broadband service to KCOM in the East Yorkshire area.
Ben Cooper, the divisional director who negotiated the deals for PPH Commercial said: “It’s always pleasing to deal with local companies who are keen to grow and expand because it’s positive for the city’s economy.
“Both of these brands are well-established in Hull, and the east Hull area in particular, so it’s been rewarding to help them find a prestigious new location which is close to their roots.
“Hopefully, their ambitious expansion plans will come to fruition and help to create plenty of new job opportunities. I wish them every success for the future.”
Having been bought by Hull-based commercial property developers Stoneferry Estates in 2007, the Marfleet Environmental Park is now home to a host of well-known brands – including Nippon Gohsei, Neill & Brown Global Logistics and Middlegate Europe.
Tom Healey, a director at Stoneferry Estates, said: “We all know that Siemens and other renewable energy giants are investing heavily in Hull, but it’s rewarding to help two local companies who are looking to do the same. I’m sure they’ll both thrive and prosper in their new home.
“Marfleet has proved an excellent location for growing businesses across the region in recent years and we have seen a number of smaller companies thrive from being at such a great location, near to some of the biggest names in business locally.”
Situated in the Humber Estuary Enterprise Zone, the site still has one 1,900sqft unit available. The office has recently been subject to a full refurbishment and several strong enquiries have already been fielded.
