OFFICE READY FOR REVIVAL
The 5.250 sq ft building at 93-95 Alfred Gelder Street has seen heavy investment from developer Allenby Commercial since its acquisition two years ago. It now features more than 40 parking spaces and a first floor city garden with views across the Hull skyline. Allenby is betting on increasing commercial opportunities in the area.
Contracts manager Charlie Allenby said “We are a local business. We think Hull is heading for good times and we are committed to doing what we can to support that. “This particular building was in very poor condition when we purchased it from the local authority. “We had a few options when it came to deciding what to do with it, but we decided to develop it for continued office use because we see that as the best way of supporting the city centre economy.” The property is across the road from Hull’s combined Courts Centre and just yards from the Guildhall.
It includes high speed internet and is aimed at professional tenants. Mr Allenby said “The private car park is a great asset which sets the property apart from other city centre office sites, and the city garden is based on the ‘pocket park ‘ concept, which is a novel feature of modern urban development’s elsewhere in the UK and we’re bringing it to Hull.”
The office is being marketed by PPH Commercial.
